Emergency Accommodation
Emergency Accommodation
We run two Emergency Accommodation Services, in Athlone and Tullamore. Together they operate 12 emergency beds which cater for men and women over the age of 18 years.
The service is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring Service Users have support at any time of the day or night, whenever they may need it.
A Place of Change
Our Emergency Accommodation Service is a place of change. It offers people accommodation in a warm and caring environment, giving the Service User the opportunity and support to make the changes in their lives that they want to make.
Our Emergency Accommodation Service is not a hostel. There is a communal living area and kitchen but each Service User has their own room. Dignity, privacy and respect that we all deserve is the backbone of the support on offer in this service.
Emergency Accommodation Services in both Athlone and Tullamore strive daily to link Service Users back into their community, supporting them in every step to rebuild their lives.
Life skills training is also organised on a regular basis for Service Users to ensure they are fully capable of returning to independent living. These include healthy eating courses, independent living, fire safety training and money management.
