Fundraising - How We Rely on Fundraised Income
Midland Simon Community’s fundraising team co-ordinates a calendar of diverse fundraising events and activities throughout the year. These events are our main way of raising regular and sustainable funds for our services, so your support is very important to us.
We are dependent on fundraising in order to continue to provide essential services. Although we do receive government funding, it only covers a percentage of the cost of providing services. The remaining deficit must be made up of fundraising activities, donations and corporate giving.
While receiving significant support from state agencies of approx 50% of overall income, Midlands Simon Community is dependent on our own fundraising efforts and on the support and goodwill of all our supporters to survive - and to continue to provide essential services to those experiencing homelessness across the Midlands region. This means that our target for 2017 from our fundraising efforts is in the region of €340,000 and we need your help to achieve it.
The value of fundraising to Midlands Simon Community is entrancingly linked to our ability to provide services for those experiencing homelessness in counties Laois, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath. By organising an event and getting your friends to support you, or by you supporting an event, you are making a very valuable contribution to Midlands Simon Community and playing your part in the fight to end homelessness.
